Classical Roman Architecture
Rome boasts a rich tapestry of architectural styles; from the high renaissance columns of the The Sistine Chapel to the classical domes that adorn the city’s most iconic buildings. Visit the Pantheon, St. Peter's Basilica and beyond to indulge in beautiful proportions, calming symmetry and more in the way of unique Byzantine influence. Alongside a day exploring the Vatican City, pay a visit to the Castel Sant'Angelo fortress for more history and sweeping views across the city. It is not to be missed.

When To Go
If you prefer milder, more comfortable temperatures and avoiding crowds of summer tourists, the best time to go is between October to April. Summer has a long stretch in Rome – from May to September – and is characterised by sweltering temperatures. Autumn is another nice shoulder season with mild temperatures but do bring a coat.
