Combloux is a quintessential mountain village, in the Haute-Savoie area, with an awe-inspiring panorama over Mont-Blanc. There’s easy access to two excellent skiing resorts: Les Portes du Mont-Blanc and Evasion Mont Blanc, totalling 545 km of slopes. It is a destination for all seasons, from hiking, biking and rafting to horse riding and summer swims with a view. Combloux offers the first ecological lake open to swimming in France. Bathing in the pure water which is warmed by the sunshine, while surrounded by the snowy mountains, is a life-affirming experience. As one of our homeowners says: ‘The French Alps are just amazing – around every corner there is another valley, village or view to admire.” The chalet’s proximity to glamorous Megève offers a more glitzy side to Alpine life. Memorable ski-in and ski-out restaurants, and streets lined with art galleries, stores and cafés add to the elegant atmosphere. The resort has been a winter playground since 1933 when its first cable car was installed. In the 1950s, stars such as Audrey Hepburn and Brigitte Bardot bought chalets here. Today it’s still the epitomé of Alpine chic.
