Tell us about your history with Paris
Paris has always been a significant part of my life. After being born there, I returned for my studies, giving me the chance to reacquaint myself with the city. Despite not having family there anymore, Paris remains the place where I feel most at home.
Where are your favourite locations to stay in Paris and why?
When I'm in Paris, I tend to split my time between the 9th arrondissement, the 6th, and certain parts of the 3rd and 4th arrondissements. These areas are not only tourist hotspots but also where genuine Parisians reside. My favourites include enjoying a coffee at the Dunkerque café in the 9th and taking a leisurely stroll around the Rue des Martyrs/Saint Georges neighbourhood.
For lunch, I recommend visiting the Le Marché des Enfants Rouges for some of the best couscous in Paris. To cap off the day, sipping a glass of wine at La Palette in the 6th is always a delight.
If you had to choose one restaurant to dine, where would it be and why?
Choosing just one restaurant is a challenge, but I'll mention three that hold a special place for me. In the 6th, I'd opt for Le Cherche Midi for its impeccable pasta and charming atmosphere. In terms of authentic French bistro fare, Le Bistrot Paul Chêne in the 16th or Le Lutécia in the 6th are my top picks. For a unique lunch experience, Le Café Coucou in the 9th offers a delightful twist on traditional classics.
