Traditional stone farmhouse nestled in the Tuscan hills
This 200sqm August stone farmhouse over two storeys fully encapsulates what Tuscany is about. A four-bedroom, three-bathroom property that lends itself to outdoor living perfect for entertaining groups. Its private location surrounded by olive trees and 180 degrees of incredible views of the surrounding hillside region have co-owners wowed upon arrival as they discover a myriad of external spaces such as split level terraces where an al fresco lifestyle can be enjoyed. With Lucca only a 20 minutes drive, and Florence and Pisa less than 40 minutes away, this home is conveniently located from popular cultural attractions, close to international airports and an array of Tuscan eateries and fresh produce markets.
Completely unwind and feel a sense of relaxation and rejuvenation as the newly renovated rooms allow for a seamless transition flow between one room to the next. Bright and calm interiors making the space light and airy.
The team designed the home to focus on the areas where you could spend the majority of your time where you can marvel at the views. The large terrace has now been transformed into an extension of the living space, with separate zones for lounging (in and out of the sun), dining, and of course swimming.
Prior to the renovations, this home featured many unused spaces with a dark and dull interior. By refreshing the rooms with a lighter neutral tone and carefully dedicating spaces to showcase the charming features, there is now better use of space.
Across two levels, the living space downstairs includes a large living room with exposed beam ceilings with a refreshed kitchen full of authentic charm and cabinetry filled with all the cooking equipment, utensils, and crockery you would need to cook up and enjoy a Tuscan feast. There is also a bedroom that opens out onto the main terrace and a bathroom. Your guests are greeted upstairs with three themed bedrooms and a family bathroom. All with windows so that everyone can wake up to the views of the Tuscan hilltops. The primary bedroom with an ensuite opens up to the swimming pool area that can also be accessible via the terrace steps.
Breathtaking views as far as the eye can see
Take in panoramic views of the Tuscan countryside and nearby hilltops from every room. The expansive terrace allows your guests to enjoy the nearby 1,300 sqm of well manicured gardens including olive trees, cypresses and beds of colourful flowers that surround this private property. This space is ideal for relaxing, sharing vinos whilst admiring the breathtaking views throughout the day.
Comfortable spaces for resting and entertaining
This two level home is all about indoor/outdoor living. It's easy to imagine going from the warmth of the Tuscan sun to the coolness of the living rooms preserved by the stone floors, with a large open plan living and dining area of 30sqm, a refreshed kitchen of 20sqm and multiple terraces that seamlessly flow throughout the home. Spend out across four bedrooms across two stories and enjoy the ample external spaces for outdoor dining, relaxing and keeping cool in the swimming pool.
The Tuscan design touch
The interiors of this home draws inspiration from the characteristic palette of the Tuscany region - natural earthy tones, terracotta, warm golden-hued neutrals, and olive greens shades - reminiscent of the renaissance in which the region was cemented as a prime holiday destinations. Colours and furnishings draw directly on the period and region to showcase the original stone farmhouse features of terracotta roof and floor tiles, exposed wooden ceiling beams, cast iron work, pattern wall tiles and stone brickwork. The August design team has combined traditional antiques and contemporary soft home furnishings to ensure modern day comforts with an authentic charm. You're sure to feel like you're in Tuscany with this August home.
