Introducing our latest addition to the Premium Collection – a perfectly situated chalet in the picturesque ski village of Combloux.
Imagine stepping into a cosy retreat where refined interiors harmonise with the natural beauty that surrounds you. Whatever the season, enjoy views of serene snow-covered landscapes or lush green mountaintops. This home exudes comfort and sophistication, enriched by features such as a private sauna, open fireplace and a built-in hot tub. Welcome to your alpine sanctuary.
The chalet's interior design radiates warmth with a palette of natural tones that embrace the rustic charm of the Alps while incorporating modern sensibilities. Wooden accents effortlesslymerge with comfortable furnishings, creating an inviting atmosphere. Each corner of the chalet reflects thoughtful, August design – from the inviting living spaces to the picture-perfect views.
You’ll find sumptuous textiles and textures all around that invite you to sink in and savour the moment. Five welcoming bedrooms offer a sanctuary of tranquillity, including one featuring twin beds, perfect for accommodating children or additional guests during your stay. Meanwhile, four spa-inspired bathrooms are finished with rustic tiling, modern fixtures and soothing lighting, offering the perfect respite after a day on the slopes.
With this Premium Collection chalet, entertaining is elevated to an art form with open-concept spaces that flow into spacious living areas. Here, conversations and laughter take centre stage – the perfect setting for gatherings with friends and family. The chalet's exterior architecture, characterised by traditional stone alpine influences and contemporary lines, integrates harmoniously with the mountainscape.
For those who crave the thrill of the slopes, adventure is just a stone's throw away - while relaxation connoisseurs will find every corner of the home as inviting as the last. Come sunshine or snow, you’ll find plenty to do in the area, from skiing and snowboarding in the winter to paragliding and hiking in the warmer months.
For our Head of Design and Development, Max, the Combloux chalet has a special place in his heart. “I take the houses on a journey - from a house to the perfect August Home. Our design team are totally attuned to the feel of the space and are experts in colour, texture and furnishings, bringing it all together beautifully. We are able to really set the stage for years of beautiful memories made in a home, not a house.”
It all starts with one key thing though, according to Max. It’s location, location, location. "Our acquisitions team are incredibly knowledgeable and well respected in their areas, able to purchase properties often off-market, ensuring we get the best homes for our collections. The Combloux chalet was no exception - it’s about a 55-minute drive from Geneva airport and just 15 minutes down the hill for a whole host of activities on the slopes, which is amazing for skiing in the winter months.”
Max’s favourite time of the year, however? The summer, of course. “The sunsets are magical, and the views absolutely transport you.”
While designing the Combloux chalet, retaining its original features were crucial to Max and the team. “We worked with the lovely antique wooden panelling, the fireplace and the wonderful (and meticulously) crafted oak staircase. We wanted the chalet to have a very ‘Aspen Lodge’ feel - very reminiscent of Slim Aarons with soft, muted colours that can still feel rich and cosy, yet cool and crisp in the summer. It’s important that the design reflects the fact that this is a year-round home, and in the warmer months the environment should look and feel just as amazing, as our Homeowners love to visit during all seasons.”
For this Premium Collection alpine retreat, the small details mattered to Max. “Our design knowledge allowed us to really elevate the chalet from some of the nasty pastiche alpine spaces you see around. No one needs a toboggan as a coffee table - save that for the slopes!”
