After many viewing trips across Europe, we are finally back and successfully purchased a new property in Chamonix for our Signature...
Situated in the pedestrian area of Chamonix city center, this large duplex apartment is ideally located close to all amenities where everything can be done by foot. A privilege in Chamonix.
The flat can accommodate up to 8 people and offers a large terrace of 11 m2 facing the Mont Blanc. It has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, 2 being en suite and one large family bathroom with shower and bath. It also offers a sauna, fireplace, secure private parking, ski lockers, and ski room.
The flat of course needs a little refresh, and we are already working hard with our interior designers and architects on how we will turn this flat into a chic yet cosy cocoon.
We inspire ourselves from the ski chalet chic interiors with it's fabulous blend of luxury lifestyle and rustic charm. Sumptuous textures of fur, suede, and cashmere arecombined with raw wood, horn, felted wool and rough bark to create a look synonymous with this pastime. A delicious colour palette of caramel, fudge, chocolate, arctic white, wolf grey and black add a decadent touch to our interior. This look is all about indulgence and pleasure, those apres ski afternoon teas with divine chocolate cake and perhaps a cafe correcto?
Chamonix
At the foot of the behemoth that is Mont Blanc, the aptly named Chamonix-Mont-Blanc sits just inside the junction that joins France with Switzerland and Italy in the French Alps. “Discovered” by the English in 1741, the Hotel d’Angleterre, the first in the valley, was built in 1770, and the town held the inaugural Winter Olympics in 1924. While the cluster of resorts is easily one of the most popular skiing locations in France, that is not all this area’s known for. Counting breath-taking scenery, historical sights and exciting year-round activities as popular draws, there’s plenty of things to do in Chamonix for all the family to enjoy. In fact, you will be surprised to know that there are more tourists visiting Chamonix in the summer than in the winter. In spring, with a fewer crowds than in winter, you can probably have the chance to ski without risking a collision with someone. During the summer season, the mountain becomes paradise for anyone looking for some fresh air, awe-inspiring landscapes and fantastic activities, such as hiking (like the Tour du Mont Blanc or the Vallée blanche), mountain biking, paragliding, alpine slides, golfing, etc.
