We're delighted to let you know that you can start planning your holidays in The Cotswolds! The August interior design and renovation team transformed this traditional and characterful Cotswold Stone cottage into an open and refreshing living space, renovated to a high standard while retaining many of its original features.
Discover the home…
A quintessential, British cottage, full of charm and soul that has had the August twist to make it the perfect home for you and your friends and family.
The Cottage is approached through a lovely garden, which is planted with raised beds and has gravelled areas to the front of the home where you can sit and enjoy the garden. Conveniently located on the southern side of the Windrush Valley, which is full of breathtaking picturesque views, where you can take soothing strolls in the rolling hills and forests.
This home is south oriented so you’ll have the pleasure of maximum bright light surrounding the home, which is rare for traditional stone cottages. The three bedroom, two-bathroom cottage accommodates up to eight people, and is a functional home that can be enjoyed in both the summer and winter seasons.
While keeping the authentic features of this charming cottage, the August team have designed the home to focus on the areas where you could spend the majority of your time, and it has a great amount of outdoor entertaining areas, and you can expect cosy and heated areas during the winter months. The team have redefined the space, making sure each space is fully utilised, including the once under-utilised kitchen that has been renovated and made to be fully functional. The three reception rooms have each been designed and optimised to have their own distinct personality. Quality is at the heart of everything we do at August, so all of the rooms have been freshly painted with superior quality paints containing rare earth pigments made by the Royally appointed Myland company.
Let's take a look behind the scenes of staging this home and the lead up to the final touches…
The interiors of the home draw inspiration from the characteristic palette of the Cotswolds - warm honey-hued neutrals, deep greens and earthy hues. Natural materials such as limestone and oak feature throughout; traditional panelling and beams form a strong, but appropriate architectural framework, and the interior has been softened with warm wools and heavy velvets throughout.
